Bring your ID and the receiver's details
Government photo ID for you; the receiver's full legal name, city and country; bank details if they want an account deposit.

Receive your receipt and tracking number
Share the reference number with your receiver. Cash pick-up is often available within minutes; bank deposits can take longer.
What to bring
- Your government-issued photo ID. Driver's licence, passport, PR card or Ontario photo card.
- The receiver's full legal name, spelled exactly as on their ID. A mismatch is the most common reason a pick-up is refused.
- Their city and country, and for account deposits the bank name, account number and any required codes (IFSC, IBAN, CLABE and so on).
- Their phone number, so the provider can notify them when the money is ready.

Protect yourself from scams
- Never wire money to someone you have not met in person, or to "unlock" a prize, loan, job or inheritance.
- Government agencies such as the CRA, the police, courts and utility companies never demand payment by money transfer. Anyone who says otherwise is a scammer.
- If a caller is directing you step by step to send money, hang up and call us or a family member first.
- Our staff will ask a few questions about larger or unusual transfers. It is not personal; it is how we stop fraud, and we will refuse a transfer that looks like a scam.

Western Union, MoneyGram and Ria. All three are available at the counter and we can compare the fee, exchange rate and delivery time for your destination before you choose.
What does it cost?
Fees and exchange rates are set by the provider and depend on the destination country, the amount, how the money is delivered (cash pick-up, bank account, mobile wallet) and how fast. We show you the full cost, including the rate, before you confirm.
How fast will the money arrive?
Cash pick-up is often available within minutes. Bank-account deposits typically take from a few hours to a few business days depending on the country and bank. We tell you the expected time for your transfer before you pay.
What do I need to bring?
Valid government-issued photo ID; the receiver's full legal name exactly as it appears on their ID; their city and country; and, for account deposits, their bank name and account details. Bringing their phone number helps too.
Can I send Canadian dollars or the local currency?
Most transfers are paid out in the receiver's local currency at the exchange rate shown on your receipt. Some countries allow payout in US dollars. Ask at the counter for your destination.
Can someone send money to me here?
Cash pick-up for transfers sent to you may be available through the same providers. Call ahead with the provider name and reference number and we will confirm what we can pay out.
