We look at your items together
We sort by karat with you and point out hallmarks, plated pieces and anything that is not gold. No charge, no pressure.

Tested at the counter
Acid or electronic test on the counter where you can watch. We tell you the karat we found and how we know.

Weighed on a calibrated scale
The scale sits on the counter, in plain view. You see the grams for each karat group before any price is mentioned.

Offer explained, cash in hand
A percentage of the pure-metal value, based on the karat and weight you just watched us measure. Accept and leave with cash, or take your items home.
How we price your gold
There is no mystery to it. Your offer comes from four numbers, three of which we measure in front of you:
- Weight. Grams of metal on a calibrated scale, grouped by karat.
- Purity. The karat we test for, which tells us how much of that weight is gold.
- Today's market price. The market price of gold on the day, converted to Canadian dollars per gram.
- Our offer. A percentage of that value. Bullion earns more than jewellery, and higher karats earn more than lower.
Stones, clasps and non-gold parts are not counted as gold. We either weigh the metal alone or deduct for stones, and we tell you which.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any time during business hours. Most assessments take 10 to 15 minutes.
What do I need to bring?
Your items and a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's licence, passport, Ontario photo card or PR card). We record ID for every purchase; it is a legal requirement for precious-metal buyers and it protects sellers and buyers alike.
Will you really test it in front of me?
Yes. Testing and weighing happen on the counter, not in a back room. You watch the test, see the scale reading, and hear the karat before we talk about price.
How do you decide what to pay?
Our offer is a percentage of the pure-metal value: weight in grams × purity (karat) × the market price of gold on the day. Bullion earns a higher percentage than jewellery, and higher karats earn more than lower. You hear the total before you decide.
Do you buy broken, single or damaged pieces?
Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings and dental gold are valued on their gold content, not their condition.
Do you buy gold coins and bars?
Yes. Recognized bullion (Maple Leafs, Eagles, Krugerrands, Britannias, PAMP or RCM bars) earns a higher percentage of the market price than jewellery because it can be resold without refining. If a coin appears to have collector value we will tell you.
What about stones in my jewellery?
We weigh the metal only or deduct for stones, and we tell you which. Large or valuable stones can be removed and returned to you. Small stones rarely add value to a gold offer.
Is there any obligation to sell?
None. We give you a clear offer on the spot, with no obligation to accept. If you would rather keep your items, you take them home. There is no fee for testing.
How will I be paid?
Cash, on the spot, the same visit. You receive a receipt listing the items, weights, karats and price.
Do you speak Hindi or Gujarati?
Yes. Our staff speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, so you can ask every question in the language you are most comfortable with.
